Last week, the annual Offshore Support Journal conference, organized by , brought together industry leaders for a gala dinner where the prestigious Offshore Support Journal Awards were presented. These awards recognize leaders, innovators, as well as outstanding vessels and best deals.

Britoil Offshore Services Pte Ltd, based in Singapore, was honored with the prestigious “John Westwood Deal of the Year Award” and the “Industry Leader Award” at the Annual Offshore Support Journal Conference, Awards, and Exhibition held in London on February 7th and 8th, 2024.

Both recognitions highlight their unwavering dedication to innovation and excellence in the maritime industry.

The “John Westwood Deal of the Year Award” was bestowed upon Britoil for the acquisition of 30 OSVs from the Dutch shipowner Vroon, which propelled it into the ranks of the top 10 OSV owners worldwide. This award was established to honor the memory and contribution of John Westwood to the industry.

Additionally, Florent Kirchhoff, CEO of Britoil, also received the “Industry Leader Award” for his outstanding leadership in the sector. Kirchhoff expressed that this acquisition expands the company’s geographical reach and reflects the resilience of the industry.

Under his leadership, Britoil has doubled the size of its fleet as part of a modernization and renewal program, in addition to completing one of the largest transactions of the decade.
