At Pérez y Cía. Group, we reaffirm our commitment to the environment through our collaboration with Reserva Bosque La Tigra in Costa Rica, an initiative that promotes reforestation, environmental education, and sustainable ecotourism.
Thanks to this project, we have planted 10 trees, contributing to the restoration of biodiversity and capturing 200 kg of CO₂. In addition, this initiative is part of a broader effort to create a biological corridor between the Eternal Children’s Rainforest and the Tigra Rainforest Lodge, helping to connect ecosystems and preserve local flora and fauna.
Reserva Bosque La Tigra was established in 2017 as part of a public-private agreement driven by the develoPPP program, implemented by the German Cooperation for Development and Travel to Nature. With a comprehensive approach, this reserve not only protects the natural environment but also generates employment for the local community, promotes environmental education, and develops sustainable infrastructure, such as its biological station and a network of over 7 km of trails for tourism and research.
This model of conservation and ecotourism serves as an example of how strategic alliances can drive sustainable and replicable development in other regions.
